Garbage should be placed curbside after 6 p.m. on the day before your scheduled collect and no later than 6 a.m. on the day of collection. Recycling is collected in recycling containers provided by Republic Services, Inc. every other week. Check the 2024 Garbage and Recycling Schedule for the weeks that recycling will take place.
New Residents
New residents can arrange for delivery of their recycling container by contacting the Township Adminstration Office at 412-279-2525 or by completing and submitting the new resident contact information tab on the front page of the website. A garbage container can be purchased at any retail store of their choice.
Cost: On December 19, 2023, the Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 121923-03 which establishes a fee for residential waste collection of $10.00 a month, and no to exceed $120.00 per year. This fee covers a portion of the costs to be paid under its competitively bid residential collecton service contract. This fee is billed by Jordan Tax Services starting in July of 2024 with your Property Tax bill.
